location: the bathroom in the bar facing the major plaza in Villafranca del Bierzo.

characters: one man dressed in hiking pants, drenched in sweat.

background info: Spain strives to achieve the highest light savings. the country has installed movement detectors that controlling the lighting system in the majority of the facilities, especially in the restrooms. In other words, the light turns on automatically as it detects movement in the bathroom. However, some detectors are better than others.

Action: the man sits on the toilette seat, trying to relieve his stomach from the ache that he has incurred by eating too much dry Spanish food. Suddenly, it turns dark. He is still sitting on toilette seat, he waves his hands in the air, but to no avail. the room is still pitch dark. So the man sprawls his hands in the air and waves fervently.

the curtains close and still the man has come from Germany to walk the Camino de Santiago, only to use the restroom in the Casino bar in Villafranca del Bierzo, to be stuck in the dark and save mercilessly.
