Frankenstein. Victor Frankenstein, how could you deprive your creation of joy and companionship? why would one create a thief only to punish him for being one? Frankenstein eventually kills his Creator, and then he kills himself. The modern man has killed God, or rather the idea of God, does that mean that the modern man is on the way to kill himself? that he will kill himself using the weaponry of his time, such weaponry of stripping cultures of their meanings, of melting cultures into a global one, for boycotting religion, or in spreading the subjective truth- that there is no absolute. The center can’t hold.
