Gilgamesh, a Sumerian king was afraid of death and he sought immortality
he failed and succeeded at the same time
he failed the test
but his story is still told till today
so in a way he succeeded
Gilgamesh, O Gilgamesh
how often have i thought of you, on a starry night or on a zone out while in traffic
Most people seek immortality
despite all veneers of humility and surrendering to the creator, they too, crave immortality in this finite world.
She is like you, Gilgamesh, at the age of 45, freaked out from death, it was the death of the mother rather than the friend that opened the chasm to the universal quest.
At the age of 45, with 5 children and no husband (he was there, but not really)
she decided she is afraid of death and she wants to achieve immortality. She wants to be a doctor, then open a clinic, then have a TV show, then she will be immortal.
I tell you, Gilgamesh, they accuse you of selfishness but they are just the same
how many sould have strived to escape death by achieving greatness, then why do celebrate them ? then ha ?
Today, I call you, O Gilgamesh, come help us heal the world from the obsession of immortality
and remove the tarnish of humility, to explore the real make up of human creation
