Just around the corner

It was cold, the sky promised a heavy rain and thunder, she hated this weather it was melancholic. Regardless of the common belief that raib brings good things for the future; watering the earth and all the figurative way of understanding. Rain is like barrages of bullets keeping inside your house doing nothing only gaining weight and suffocating the sun.
She walked in a hurry to get this thing over with, she was tired of going to her aunts house every time she called asking for help why could not her brothers go? Or was house chores for girls only?
Stupid society.
This calamity seemed frivolous when she saw a woman getting out of the car opening the bavk seat yanking her two-years-old daughter who wore pink outfit which reminded her of her cousin Salma, any way this woman gets her daughter on her feet and hits her hard on the back ” go on you dog! How many times have i told you not to name your brothers bad things?!” She wanted to run over there hug that girl and sooth her maybe give her a lollaby to dry her tears, and to tell that ‘mom’ that she has no right whatsover to do that.
She wanted but she didn’t.
She did however stare at the woman with a deadly look that she inherited from her grandfather. And thats all she did. She wondered what would that girl be in the future? A dog owner maybe.
